A wonderful resource for the hymns of the 12 tirumurais. The content is available in Kannada, Telugu, Hindi, English and Tamizh. Also, effort has been made to include the video of the temples about/in which the tirumurai has been sung. They also contain the transliteration of the hymns in multiple indic and international languages for the benefit of all. The website seems to be maintained by The Dharmapuram Aadheenam.

Dharisanam

Tamil Nadu, the land of temples, is home to thousands of Shiva temples. Each and every temple has its own legend and historical significance associated with it. Among them, the 276 Devara Paadal Petra Shiva Temples, where the Devaram Hymns were rendered, are greatly revered.
Devaram hymns were rendered by three great Saiva Poet-Saints and scholars – Thirugnanasambanthar, Thirunavukkarasar (Appar) and Sundaramurthy Nayanar (Sundarar). These “Devara Moovars” graced these temples with their presence and rendered Pathigams (hymns) praising the lord at these temples.
This website tries to provide accurate information about the Devara Sthalams I have visited so far – the exact location, legend, uniqueness and contact details of temple authorities.

Basics of Saivam

An excellent blog with very good content in english. Especially in explaining the basics of saiva siddantam and its history.

Religion of the Agamas

One of the best explanations of the Saiva Agamas in a clear, concise and logical manner. This is an explanation by Meykandar on Saiva Siddantam. Chapter 11 and 13 form the basis and it’s beautiful reading how he deconstructs the entire concepts of organised religions and reveals The Truth behind the saiva agama principles. Meykandar is famous for the Potter, pot and the mud analogy to explain Saivam.

Himalayan Academy – Kauai’s Hindu Monastery

Once in a while on this Earth there arises a soul who, by living his tradition rightly and wholly, perfects his path and becomes a light to the world. Satguru Sivaya Subramuniyaswami (1927-2001) was such a being, a living example of awakening and wisdom, a leader recognized worldwide as one of Hinduism’s foremost ministers. He hailed from the Nandinatha Sampradaya’s Kailasa Parampara, a line of gurus dating back 2,200 years, and passed the continuity on to his successor, Satguru Bodhinatha Veylanswami, who now heads the monastery and all of its activities worldwide, including Saiva Siddhanta Church, Himalayan Academy Publications, Hinduism Today magazine and Hindu Heritage Endowment.

The Tamils living in different parts of the world, in order to preserve their cultural identity and observe their traditions and values, need to maintain familiarity with Tamil and be knowledgeable about their heritage.Recognising this fact and for meeting the felt and emerging needs of the Tamil Communities and others interested in Tamil studies, the Chief Minister of the Government of Tamil Nadu, announced at an International Seminar and Conference on Information Technology in February 1999 that a Tamil Virtual University (TVU) would be setup. This University has been established in pursuance of that announcement. Million gods

For those who believe, a million gods look down upon them from the heaven, protecting, listening and answering their prayers. For others on the earthly abodes, the gods can be historic, artistic and cultural treasure troves which have travelled through time as mute spectators to the evolution of the modern world. ‘The travellers guide to the temples of tamil nadu’ is divided district wise and will gradually cover all the 32 districts of tamil nadu. this is an ongoing process and one can expect to see a lot of additions on a day to day basis.
